Civil Litigation

This covers all areas of substantive private and public law. We represent clients in and out of court in relation to their legal rights, claims and remedies pertaining to administrative law, constitutional law, election petition, administration of estate, agency and bailment of goods, banking and bills of exchange, aviation law and carriage of goods, chieftaincy and customary law, contract and commercial law, land law, tenancy, tort, insurance law, international law, human rights litigation and enforcement of workers right under labour and employment law.

Family Law

We handle briefs relating to administration of estate, trusts and wills, divorce, separation, custody, welfare and maintenance of children and spouses.

Criminal Law

This includes representation at Police Stations and before other law enforcement agencies such as the EFCC, the ICPC, the NDLEA, NAFDAC, the Customs, and the Immigrations; pre-charge procedures, including bail; legal defence in Magistrate’s Courts, High Courts and Courts Martial; and criminal appeals in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. We also accept retainers from government and law enforcement agencies as prosecutors.

Intellectual Properties

We offer services in respect of registration of copyright, trade names, trademarks, designs and patents, for the protection of ideas, concepts, innovations, inventions and processes of private and corporate entities.

Telecommunications

In response to the expansion of telecommunication business in Nigeria, we offer services as solicitors and barristers in the areas of broadcast, cable, telephone, internet, and satellite transmissions.

Labour Law

We act as solicitors, barristers, legal advisers and trainers to a number of industrial associations, professional bodies and trade unions. We offer legal representation in Court (including the Industrial Arbitration Panel and National Industrial Court) when the associations, bodies or unions have legal or trade disputes with employers of labour, employer associations and other persons. We offer legal services to workers whose employments are terminated or who are dismissed in violation of the Labour Law and terms and conditions of service. Based on agreement, we also offer multifaceted services to members of the unions on an individual basis.

corporate & Business Matters

This covers commercial and corporate law practice in which we function as solicitors, barristers, legal advisers and patent and trademark agents to a wide range of business endeavours, including not for profit organizations, trustees, partnerships, small and medium scale enterprises and sole proprietorships. Our services relate to incorporation of companies, registration of business names and partnerships, company secretarial services, contract negotiation, processing and filing of various annual returns with, and searches at the Corporate Affairs Commission, corporate finance, public offerings, stock exchange listings, mergers and acquisitions, take-overs, liquidation and winding-up, receiverships, employment contract, immigration law and advice on expatriate quotas, and advise on the regulatory regime for foreign investments in Nigeria. We offer services to banks, financial institutions and capital market entities relating to loan agreements, equipment lease agreements, mortgages, debentures, and debt recovery. We also handle personal income and company tax matters on the Federal, State and Local Governments levels.

Public & private International law

We handle briefs on diplomatic immunity, citizenship and naturalization, law of the sea, extradition and domicile.

Legal consultancy

We advise on business planning and generate project proposals. We render well-researched legal opinions for government, government parastatals, corporations, establishments and private organizations. We also settle appellate briefs for law firms that do not specialize in appellate practice or for litigants who desire to have their appeals handled by specialists.

Energy & Extractive Industries

This covers oil, gas, other forms of energy and solid minerals. We offer services to companies engaged in production, supply and distribution both in the upstream and down stream sectors. We function as consultants, solicitors and barristers regarding preparation of agreement, and other specialized contracts, bidding processes, governmental consent and licences, including OPL and OML, and joint venture agreements. We also provide legal representation for corporate entities with respect to the claims of local communities hosting companies, and environmental issues.

Real Estate Matters

We offer real estate services to individuals, and private and corporate entities. These services cover residential, commercial, recreational, religious and educational purposes. We handle transactions, and help structure tax, tenement rates and other statutory payment obligations. We draft and review documents and agreements, conveyances, assignments, leases, mortgages and other deeds, including power of attorney. We help obtain certificate of occupancy, Governor’s consent with regard to assignment of land and other property transaction or development approvals. We also offer services regarding real estate development financing, and management of property.

Transportation Law

Our services in these area covers all legal aspects of maritime, shipping and aviation business and transaction, including domestic air transportation and the evolving inland shipping industry regulated by the Coastal and Inland Shipping Act. We prepare shipping contracts and agreements relating to cargo handling, haulage, forwarding, imports and exports. We also provide legal representation regarding registration of ships, arrest and release of vessels, claims by cargo owners, freight forwarders, the incidental warehousing transactions and all matters relating to general admiralty practice.

Our aviation practice covers services to airlines regarding regulatory compliance, licence and permit procurement, and aircraft purchase or lease finance; and entails legal representations to passengers and airlines regarding rights, duties and obligations under domestic and international law, including the Warsaw and Montreal Conventions.
